A man ended up in the Niagara River after losing control of his bike
A 73 year old man is in hospital after a power assisted bicycle lost control.
Around 4:00 p.m. yesterday, emergency crews were called to the recreational path along the Niagara River Parkway at Service Road 58 near the Village of Queenston.
A man lost control of the bike, went off the path, and over the edge of the escarpment.
The man was found about 75 feet down the escarpment with serious but non life threatening injuries.
He was airlifted to an out of town hospital.
Niagara Parks Police say they don't think speed was a factor, and they believe it might have been caused by a medical issue.
The incident is still under investigation.
