Man was killed in hit and run crash on Sunday
A group of cyclists in West Niagara are going on a ride to pay tribute to a man who died after his bike was hit by a car on Sunday morning.
The event called "Memorial Ride for Grimsby Cyclist" will leave the Casablanca Inn in Grimsby at 6:00 p.m. tonight, and head over to the site of the crash on North Service Road, following the Waterfront Trail.
On Sunday morning, a 51 year old cyclist died when he was hit by a car that fled the scene.
Brent Armitage, 37, of Oshawa later turned himself in, and has been charged with failing to stop causing death.
