No app? Than expect to self isolate for 14 days after you return from the U.S.
CTV news reporting a Toronto woman and her friends were forced to isolate for two weeks after taking a day long shopping trip to Western New York because they didn’t pre register on the app.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Canada Border Services said the ArriveCAN app “remains mandatory for everyone, regardless if travellers enter by land/air/marine or how long they were away from Canada.”
For air travellers, a heads up, by early next week, Canadians and all other foreign visitors who travel to the United States by air will need to get a COVID-19 test 24 hours before their departure.
President Joe Biden is slashing the current 72-hour testing window for fully vaccinated travellers.
