Driver Takes Golf Cart On QEW

Police busting a driver caught red handed driving a stolen golf cart on the QEW.

Both Halton officers and OPP were called in yesterday after someone stole the golf cart from an Oakville school.

Police say the driver left the highway at Brant Street in Burlington and finally pulled over at Mapleview Mall.

The driver tried to flee police by going inside the mall, not realizing or forgetting the mall was closed because of pandemic restrictions.

He was quickly arrested and charged.
