Beaches flagged for E.coli, algae and safety reasons.
Niagara Region Public Health has flagged 11 beaches as unsafe for swimming.
E.coli has been detected at several beaches, including Bernard Beach in Fort Erie, Fifty Point Conservation Beach in Grimsby and Queen's Royal Beach in Niagara-on the-Lake.
In Port Colborne, Nickel Beach and Sherkston Quarry Beach have also been flagged due to E.coli, as well as Sunset Beach in St. Catharines and Long Beach in Wainfleet.
In addition, Waverly Beach in Fort Erie, Centennial Cedar Bay Beach in Port Colborne, and Reebs Bay in Wainfleet have been posted due to algae, and Nelles Beach in in Grimsby has been listed for safety issues.
