It's a day off for public elementary students in Niagara.
The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario is holding a one-day strike today, and the District School Board of Niagara is affected.
This strike should not impact high school students in the DSBN.
ETFO President Sam Hammond will be visiting picket lines across the Region today, including one outside MPP Sam Oosterhoff's office in Beamsville.
The union is fighting for smaller class sizes, more resources for students with special needs, the protection of Ontario's Kindergarten program and fair compensation for educators.
