The European Union (EU) is considering tighter controls on the export of vaccines.
The EU is leaning towards stricter control measures in order to ensure a sufficient supply for its own citizens.
There were concerns this may impact the amount of doses Canada receives, but officials in Ottawa say no impact is expected.
Representatives from International Trade Minister Mary Ng's office say that officials from the EU have assured them that Canadian shipments will not be affected.
Canada is expected to receive 9.5 million doses by the end of this month.
