Niagara residents are being warned to expect delays at local landfills and recycling drop-off depots.
The warm weather often means longer than usual wait times.
Wait times are also increased by COVID-19 safety limits to the number of vehicles allowed on the drop-off pad at a time.
In order to reduce delays, residents are being asked to purchase garbage tags for extra garbage bags/can.
You're also advised to participate in weekly blue/grey box recycling collection and the weekly green bin and leaf and yard waste programs.
Residents can also reduce wait times by visiting landfills and recycling drop-off depots by going on less busier days, such as Monday or Tuesday.
