New Canadian sanctions are being placed against Belarus for supporting Russia's war in Ukraine.
Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly says Belaurs is enabling human rights violations and allowing Russia to use the country to launch attacks.
Twenty-two officials have been added to the sanctions list, including people involved in the stationing and transport of Russian military personnel and equipment.
The sanctions also apply to 16 Belarusian companies in the banking, rail, engineering, tech and military manufacturing sectors.
