The federal government will soon table its next budget.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland says the budget will be released on Thursday, April 7th.
The budget is expected to include increased defence spending, as well as commitments such as dental care, as part of a new Liberal-NDP confidence and supply agreement.
The latest economic update was provided in December, when the federal government committed $8 million towards battling the pandemic.
Given the support from the NDP, the vote on the budget is expected to pass.
