Announcement expected as early as tomorrow
The premier is expected to meet with his cabinet today to finalize plans to introduce a vaccine passport in Ontario.
The move marks a major change in policy for Doug Ford who has consistently said he did not want an Ontario vaccine certificate because it would create a “split society.”
But it comes amid a growing call for some kind of certificate program from both municipal and business leaders.
It was just last week, Niagara Regional council passed a motion asking the Ford government to develop a vaccine passport.
