Fort Erie Communities in Bloom has it's sights set high and is looking to council for help.
The group last competed on the international level in 2015. It received an honourable mention, coming second place to Cervia, Italy.
It's looking to bounce back in 2020, with a goal of taking home first place.
Co-Chairs Sandra Fishman and Winnie Swalm asked council for some extra help last night.
They would like a budget increase, which would allow them to hire someone with graphic design skills to help with advertising.
The international competition would involve hosting two judges for two days. They would visit areas around the community to evaluate tidiness, environmental action and floral displays.
