Fort Erie Town Council has decided to implement a temporary grace period for certain payments.
Locals will not have to worry about late fees and penalties for water bills and taxes levied this year.
They also won't have to pay for parking in municipal lots or on the side of the street.
The late fees for business licenses and payment will also be waived.
The grace period will be in effect until June 30th.
Council also decided to approve a change in its Procedural By-law, to allow electronic meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It also decided to give authority to the CAO to respond to any urgent issues that may arise, as long as he consults with the Mayor.
