Fort Erie is still recovering financially from the Halloween storm.
It cost the Town upwards of $1-million in damages.
Town Council decided Monday night, to request the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to activate the Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance program in Fort Erie.
The provincial program is supposed to help municipalities recover the costs associated with a natural disaster.
Staff will be finalizing an application for the program over the next few weeks.
