The Town of Fort Erie is asking residents to be cautious when exercising outdoors.
While the province's stay-at-home order remains in effect, outdoor exercise is allowed.
The Town is asking resident to refrain from using stormwater ponds, and instead participate in activities like ice skating on frozen surfaces they know are safe.
Due to the regular movement of water, stormwater ponds are considered a hard.
Other outdoor activities, like tobogganing, ice fishing and cross-country skiing are also allowed under the current orders from the province.
The Town also reminds you to follow public health guidelines when exercising outdoors, wear a mask and maintain a distance of at least 2 metres away from people you don't live with.
