An anonymous donor is doing their part to ensure that people in Welland don't go hungry during the lockdown.
Someone has donated an entire truckload of groceries to the City, and they will be distributed on Wednesday afternoon.
Anyone who wishes to receive free groceries is welcome to come to the Open Arms Mission at 3:00.
The groceries will be distributed by volunteers from the City of Welland and the Open Arms Mission.
Mayor Frank Campion expressed his appreciation for the donation.
"Acts of kindness and compassion, such as this are even more important during these difficult times."
Organizers are asking attendees to wear a mask when they arrive.
