Niagara Falls is offering free lifeguard certification for local teens.
Those between the ages of 15 and 18 will be able to sign up for the 9-week course, as long as they're in high school, college or university.
Part 1 of the course will begin on March 15th. It will focus on Assistant Lifeguard training over a four week span.
Part 2 will begin on April 19th. It will focus on lifeguard certification over the remaining five weeks.
100 percent attendance in required in order to be certified.
You have until Friday February 21st to fill out an application.
This is a partnership between the City and the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara.
