Niagara SPCA to the rescue
A would be robber has been rescued by the animal shelter.
The agency tweeting out they were called to a local auto garage in the middle of the night this week after a raccoon got his fingers caught in a safe.
Animal Services transported the critter to its Welland shelter where he was sedated, so the door could be pried open enough to free him.
He is now recovering at Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge in Jarvis.
