6 cent drop today, another 6 cent drop tomorrow
A day after predicting gas prices in Niagara would fall 6 cents a litre today, an industry analyst is predicting another drop tomorrow.
Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague says prices will drop by an average of 12 cents a litre by tomorrow morning bringing the cost of fuel down to its lowest level in four months.
That could bring the average cost of a litre of gas to about $167.9 cents a litre, a price we haven't seen since mid April.
McTeague says energy markets are casting aside a tight global oil market in favour of tiny pledge from oil producing export countries to increase production.
Last August motorists were paying about $1.40 a litre.
