Wayne Gates says the government has broken its promise when it comes to mental health funding for Niagara.
The Niagara Falls MPP is responding to the Ministry of Health's mental health and addiction strategy.
Gates says the Ford government committed to funding three 24-hour drop-in centres in Niagara, but there's no mention of this in the strategy.
He says we lose one person in Niagara to suicide each week.
Over 70 per cent of the calls first responders go to are connected to a mental health crisis.
Gates says the fight will continue to get the funding Niagara was promised.
