Gates Congratulates Unifor and GM on Tentative Deal

Wayne Gates says this is why we need to fight for auto jobs in Ontario.

The Niagara Falls MPP says the tentative deal between Unifor and GM will provide job security for workers in St. Catharines, Windsor, Oakville and Woodstock.

He's also happy to see production resume at the Oshawa Plant next year.

Gates is the Automotive and Manufacturing Critic for the Official Opposition.

Meanwhile NDP Leader Andrea Horwath was also quite happy to hear about the deal.

"I'm so proud of all the workers and their families who never gave up hope and never stopped fighting to keep good auto manufacturing jobs in Oshawa as well as protect jobs in St. Catharines and Woodstock."
