A local MPP says the Premier's electric vehicle plan doesn't go far enough.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says Premier Doug Ford needs to do more to encourage people to buy electric vehicles.
The Premier held a press conference earlier today, telling reporters his government has set a goal of building 400,000 electric and hybrid vehicles by 2030.
Gates, who is the NDP's critic for Auto Strategy, says even more needs to be done.
"Doug Ford’s sudden flip-flop on electric vehicles is late, weak and badly incomplete. He still refuses to have electric vehicle incentives or rebates, and refuses to commit to putting back the charging stations he took away."
