Metal recyclers also asked to be on the lookout
Police are asking anyone with video surveillance cameras living close by or with a business near Drummond Hill Cemetery to check their footage between the early morning hours of September 27th and the morning of September 29th after a statue of Lieutenant General Drummond on horseback was stolen from the cemetery.
Police say the statue was on a concrete base and its removal would have been labour intensive .
Police say a vehicle would have likely been used to take it away.
The statue is 31” long x 11” wide x 36” tall.
It weighs approximately 330lbs.
The value is estimated at over $10,000.
Metal recyclers are asked to be on the look out for the statue and to contact police to report anything suspicious.
