Change to take effect at the end of the year
Google says it plans to drop news links in Canada.
This comes after Parliament passed a law that would require digital companies to pay media outlets for sharing content or using it online.
The change will start at the end of the year, once the Online News Act takes effect.
Recently, Meta said it would remove news from Facebook and Instagram before that point.
