The officers were charged following an altercation with a protestor last summer.
Shocking video of the confrontation showed the man, Martin Gugino, being pushed to the ground during the anti racism and anti police brutality protest in Niagara Square.
The 75 year old protestor suffered a fractured skull in the fall.
The two officers were charged with felony assault and have been suspended from the force since the June 4th incident.
CNN reporting they will remain suspended pending an internal police investigation into the alleged assault.
