The group plans to build 5 homes in Thorold next year
Five new homes will be built by Habitat for Humanity next year in Thorold.
The group says the foundation for two of the units was started last week by Cotton construction, an on-going partner with Habitat Niagara, with the homes to be built in the first half of the year.
Cairnwood Homes is also building new homes alongside the Habitat homes, which the group says will improve older neighbourhoods and make use of existing infrastructure.
Habitat Niagara has a goal of building 30 homes over the next five years.
It adds it's been 17 years since it built anything in Niagara.
