OHL team moving to Brantford for at least three years
The Hamilton Bulldogs are moving to Brantford.
Brantford City Council passed an agreement with the OHL team last night.
The team will call Brantford home for at least the next three seasons.
The three-year contract starts this year, and includes an additional three one-year renewals.
The move will result in about $7.5 million in upgrades to the Brantford Civic Centre.
Renovations at Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre are causing a long term closure of the arena, forcing the team to move.
The team will be renamed the "Brantford Bulldogs."
Our home away from home.
