Cooling stations open in the Falls and Garden City
A heat warning continues across the region with the temperature expected to climb to 32 C today with a humidex near 40 C.
Tonight a cold front moves in bringing showers and relief from the heat
Meantime, if you don't have air conditioning and need a break from the heat the city of Niagara Falls has a pair of cooling stations open
Residents can cool off at either the public library on Victoria Avenue and the History Museum on Ferry St.
Niagara Falls Transit will be offering free rides to the two cooling stations during the heat wave
City pools will be open until 7 this evening.
St. Catharines residents can also beat the heat at the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre today from 11 to 7.
The city is also keeping its pools and splash pads open until 9 tonight.
