Andrea Skinner points to "misinformation" in society
Hockey Canada's interim chair is standing up for the sport.
Andrea Skinner says hockey shouldn't be made a ``scapegoat'' for a toxic culture that exists elsewhere in society.
She was speaking before a Commons committee in Ottawa yesterday, testifying about alleged sexual assaults in the sport and how money was paid out in lawsuits.
When asked why president and C-E-O Scott Smith had not been fired, Skinner said the board does not share the view that senior leadership should be replaced based on what she calls ``misinformation'' and ``cynical attacks.''
