UPDATE: A GoFundMe page has been set up for the horse boarding farm where the incident took place.
It has a $10,000 fundraising goal, but close to $47,000 had been raised as of this morning.

Police are looking into a disturbing, disgusting case of animal cruelty at a horse boarding farm in Welland.
They were called yesterday to the farm near Buchner Road and Highway 140, to find eight horses had been hurt overnight.
Police say it was during their morning routine that staff found some horses had been cut or stabbed.
One horse was found dead, another was taken to an out-of-town vet for emergency care.
