Horwath Calls for Inquiry into Hamilton Forensics Lab Closure

Andrea Horwath would like an inquiry into the closure of Hamilton's Forensics Pathology Unit.

The provincial NDP Leader says her party is standing alongside CUPE Ontario, calling for an independent investigation into why and how the Ford Government made this decision.

"Losing a loved one is a painful and heartbreaking time for families. Doug Ford’s decision will cause even more distress and suffering by forcing grieving families to wait longer and travel further when an autopsy is needed."

The lab handles autopsies for Hamilton, Niagara, Norfolk, Brant and Dufferin.
