Suspect facing numerous drug and impaired driving charges.
A Port Colborne man is facing numerous charges after a backhoe was involved in a hit and run in Welland.
Police say around 8:00 a.m. yesterday, officers were called to the intersection of Niagara Street and Thorold Road.
The backhoe was located nearby, and a traffic stop was conducted.
Investigators claim the suspect showed signs of impairment, and was arrested.
Officers arrested 44 year old Jeremy West for several offences, including impaired driving and drug possession.
He is due in court on December 3rd.
