Niagara Health is seeing a significant jump in demand for testing at its three assessment centres in the Region.
Nearly 3,500 tests were completed last week alone.
On Wednesday, Niagara Health hit a daily record with 665 completed.
Demand for COVID-19 test is high, meaning long wait for the walk-in patients in St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland.
The assessment centre teams are working hard to meet demand and contact everyone who has requested a testing appointment.
Niagara Health is asking for the community's patience during this time.
