3 broadband projects finished this week, two of them by Bell, the other by Cogeco
Over 5,400 homes and businesses in Niagara are now connected to high-speed internet, after the completion of three fibre-optic broadband installations this week.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff announced the finished work of the Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology initiative, alongside Wainfleet Mayor Brian Grant, and Regional Councillor Rob Foster.
There was construction of two networks by Bell Canada, covering 245kms, for places including St. Anns, North Pelham, Niagara on the Lake, Wainfleet, and Wellandport.
Cogeco laid more than 53kms, for communities including Grimsby Centre, Fulton, Caistor Centre and others.
The province invested more than $63-million to the Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology projects.
