A serious collision has closed part of Lake Street in St. Catharines.
Update Friday, 10:30am:
A man is dead after a collision this morning between a pedestrian and pickup truck in St. Catharines.
Police got the call just after 6, arriving to the scene on Lake Street, between Carlton and Dunlop Drive.
They say they found the man with critical injuries, and despite attempts to save him, he died at hospital.
Police add they're working to sort out what happened, and ask anyone with information to give them a call.

Niagara Regional Police say Lake Street is closed between Carlton Street and Dunlop Drive for a serious collision investigation.
They expect the area to be closed for several hours.
Police are asking everyone to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
