Last Day to Apply for Ontario Child Benefit Payment

Deadline is midnight tonight

The program pays parents or guardians $400 for each child or youth up to Grade 12 or $500 for each special-needs child or youth up to age 21.

Parents who received money last fall under the old Support for Learners program don’t have to re-apply

However, the government says anyone who applied for Support for Learners but did not receive a payment by April 23rd , they will not automatically receive payment under the Ontario COVID-19 Child Benefit and in that case need to apply again
