He'll ride his bike from Ottawa to St. Catharines, to raise mental health awareness and raise money for Pathstone.
Justin Turgeon works as a personal trainer in the Garden City and part-time at Popeye's Supplements.
He'll set off on his 560km trek on November 19th and it should take him about 36 hours.
"I'm super excited! It's going to be probably my longest ride I have ever done straight. I've done 30 hours straight but I haven't done 560 kilometres like this so it's going to be a new one."
Turgeon has been preparing himself mentally and physically for this journey. He says he typically stays awake for 48 hours and sleeps for five hours.
Each day includes a 20km to 30km run, three to four hours of spin, working part-time at Popeyes and lifting weights at the gym afterwards.
Once he gets home after a long day, he will also go through mental exercises.
His Ride Over Matter is his way of giving back to the community and he is hoping his actions will encourage others to pay it forward.
