Police say it happened yesterday at an elementary school in Thorold, a number of people assaulted
Some tense moments yesterday afternoon at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Elementary school in Thorold.
Police were called at around 4:30 concerning a sexual assault.
They learned a man was outside the school when he approached a girl under 16-years old, and grabbed her buttocks.
Police say he then went to the daycare, and pushed an employee out of the way to go inside. That employee kept kids safe in the hallway, but two other women were sexually assaulted by the suspect.
Just before 5, police arrested 28-year old Nathan Arthur T. Peddle of Welland.
He's been charged with:
- Sexual Assault (3 Counts)
- Assault
- Break and Enter Commit Sexual Assault (2 Counts)
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
He has a bail hearing today.
