Police closed the Niagara on the Lake area down last week over shots fired, man surrendered to police roughly an hour later
A 62-year old Niagara on the Lake man remains in police custody after a shooting last week.
You may recall on Thursday afternoon when police closed down a number of roads in the Queenston Street area, near the Homer bridge, over reports of shots fired.
Roughly an hour after police arrived, a man walked out of a house and surrendered.
Police say Edgar G. Lefebvre has been handed three charges:
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Discharging a firearm — recklessness
He had a bail hearing this morning, but was kept behind bars.
Police add there were no injuries during this event.
