Man Charged Following Fatal Rollover in Wainfleet

A man from Port Colborne is facing impaired driving charges after a fatal crash in Wainfleet.

Police say a pickup truck was driving down Lakeshore Road last night when it left the road, hit a tree and rolled over.

A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and 21-year-old man was taken to an out of region hospital with life-threatening injuries.

They're both from Port Colborne and the identity of the 25-year-old has not been made public.

The 20-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and his license has also been suspended for 90 days.

The investigation continues so anyone with information should contact the NRP.
