Police say it allegedly happened in St. Catharines last month
Niagara police have laid a number of child sexual assault charges against a 33-year old St. Catharines man.
They were called to a business in a plaza near the corner of Hartzel Road and Rockwood Avenue in St. Catharines last month, concerning an alleged assault.
As a result, Abdulmagid Omar Masoud was arrested yesterday, and charged with sexual assault of a person under 16 years of age, also sexual interference and exposing genitals to a person under 16 for a sexual purpose.
Police believe this was an isolated incident between the teenager and accused.
The accused is being held for a bail hearing today.
