Police were on to the St. Catharines man after he broke his previous release order
A 30-year old St. Catharines man's decision not to comply with his release order has led to more trouble.
Last month, police started investigating the man's failure to do so, leading to his arrest yesterday.
Police had reason to believe he was trafficking illegal drugs, so they searched a St. Catharines home, finding:
- 55.4 grams of Cocaine with an estimated street value of $5540
- 587.3 grams of Psilocybin with an estimated street value of $5873
- 1.8 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $180
- $710 in Canadian Currency
Police say Joshua Scholtens is charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine X 2
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Crystal Methamphetamine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Psilocybin
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
- Failing to Comply with Release Order X 2
He had a bail hearing today.
