Police say victim was in hospital for months fighting traumatic head injury
A fight between two men in the parking lot of a Niagara Falls motel has led to a manslaughter charge.
Police were called in June to the scene in the Montrose Road and Chippawa Creek area, to find one of the men suffering from a traumatic head injury.
At the time, 55-year old Gerald Philion was charged with aggravated assault.
Sadly though, police tell us the 57-year old victim died in hospital on October 22nd.
The charge against the accused was upgraded, however police say he is not in custody on a release order, pending future court dates.
