It happened near the St. Catharines train station, as the train traveled to Toronto
A man is dead after being hit by a GO train near the St. Catharines train station.
CHCH news is reporting emergency crews arrived at the Merritton and Walnut Street area early yesterday afternoon.
Police say the train had left Niagara Falls just after 1, and was scheduled to arrive at Union Station about two hours later.
All 38 passengers on the train were transfered to a bus.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, as police and Metrolinx continue to look into what happened.
