A man has died after sustaining injuries during an assault in Welland last month.
Fifty-four year old Christopher McLaughlin succumbed to his injuries on June 4th.
On May 5th, police found the victim in the area of 260 King Street between Albert and State Streets.
Investigators determined the man had been assaulted where he was found.
Two suspects, 32 year old Larry Miles and 40 year old Eric Fidler, both of Welland, were arrested and initially charged with aggravated assault, but the charges have been upgraded to second degree murder.
