Health unit says 3 children diagnosed
Three new cases of measles have been confirmed in unvaccinated children in Niagara.
The health unit says it's reaching out to anyone who may have been exposed, especially if you were at a St. Catharines health centre on Sunday.
If you were at MedCare Clinics at Scott Street Medical Centre, between 4:20 and 6:20 that afternoon, you're asked to watch for symptoms for up to 21 days.
The health unit says symptoms include cough, runny nose, red watery eyes, and fever.
After three days, a rash that looks like small red spots develops on the face, and spreads. Small, white spots might also appear inside the mouth.
Measles is highly contagious, spreading when an infected person breathes, coughs or sneezes.
