A 43-year-old man has died after an industrial accident in Welland.
Police, fire and EMS were called out to a construction site in the King and Second Street area yesterday afternoon.
The NRP says a piece of construction material fell on a worker. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but later died.
The identity of the 43-year-old man has not been released out of respect to next of kin. Police have confirmed that he did not live in the Niagara Region.
The Ministry of Labour is now investigating.
