BOSTON - It's official, Minnesota is the winner of the very first Professional Women's Hockey League championship!
Minnesota hoisted the Walter Cup last night after shutting out Boston 3-0 in the deciding game of the best-of-five final.
Nicole Hensley made 17 saves to help secure the win.
Liz Schepers scored the first goal in the second period, Michela Cava scored the second goal in the third period, and Kendall Coyne Schofield scored an empty net goal to finish the game.
