This comes as the province moves to protect pregnant women from the coronavirus
The government announcing, in response to emerging data on the increased risk of severe illness for pregnant women, all expecting mothers will be eligible to register for vaccination appointments starting today.
Moms to be are eligible to receive their vaccine at their local Public Health Unit immunization clinics by booking an appointment through the provincial call centre at 1-888-999-6488.
This comes after The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists officially called for pregnant women to be eligible for COVID-19 immunization immediately because of a growing number of pregnant patients who are in intensive care units and requiring ventilators.
