Tampa Bay beat the Canadiens 1-0 to wrap up the NHL championship series in five games.
This marks the second year in a row the Lightning have hoisted the cup.
The Prime Minister tweeting out last night, "What a season for our @CanadiensMTL! You've kept us on the edge of our seats during these playoffs - and we can't wait to see you here again next year. #GoHabsGo"
